Garrett Owens, vice president of Winston-Salem Business Inc., was recently presented with the North Carolina Economic Development Association (NCEDA) Emerging Executive of the Year Award.
The inaugural award, sponsored by Allen Tate Relocation and Corporate Services, honors Owens’ dedication and leadership within NCEDA and among economic development professionals across North Carolina.
DJ Stephan, president of Allen Tate Relocation and Corporate Services, and Ryan Wetherington, vice president, presented Owens with the award at the NCEDA annual meeting at Wrightsville Beach, N.C.
Owens holds an undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business and a master’s of business administration from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. He joined Winston-Salem Business in 2010 and co-chairs the NCEDA Emerging Executives Committee.
