MONROE, N.C. – In the spirit of investing in the communities it serves, Allen Tate Realtors Monroe office recently presented a check for $2,209 to Walter Bickett Elementary School.
The contribution is part of more than $80,000 raised in October 2012 at Allen Tate Realtors 15th Annual FUNDay, an event where Realtors and company vendors “pay to play” and raise money for local public education organizations.
For the second consecutive year, Allen Tate doubled the fun and held two regional FUNDay events – October 2 at the Springs Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, S.C. and October 4 at Pine Lake Pavillion in Mebane, N.C. This year’s events included tennis, cornhole, raffles, cake walk, tailgate competeition and silent auction. More than 400 Allen Tate Realtors participated.
Since it began 15 years ago, FUNDay has raised more than $1,250,000 for public education across the Carolinas.
“We are extremely pleased to present this check to Walter Bickett Elementary. Allen Tate Realtors are passionate about public education and understands its critical importance to families making home-buying and relocation decisions. FUNDay gives everyone at Allen Tate a chance to directly impact the local school systems and organizations committed to quality education,” said Maureen Weidele, branch leader of the Monroe Allen Tate office.
“FUNDay celebrates the spirit of working together, having fun and giving back to the communities that have been supportive to our company,” said Weidele.
Allen Tate Realtors is the Carolinas’ largest real estate company with offices in the Charlotte, Triad, Triangle and Upstate South Carolina regions.
